{Christmas Cards}

I finally got around to making a few Christmas cards for my closest friends! I am really happy with how they turned out & they were super easy to make! How are your Christmas cards coming along?

I won't write again until after Christmas since the next few days will be pretty crazy for us, but I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Christmas!
Merry Christmas!!!!

Polymer Clay

Let me introduce you to another one of my favorite hobbies:
PolymeR clay! If you have never heard of it, it is a lot like play dough, but when you bake it, it become rock solid. The possibilities of what you could make are so endless!

Here is one of the projects I did recently just for fun, a little itty-bitty cherry pie:

Isn't it the cutest thing ever? I just want to eat it!
Here is a little size reference for you: (like my festive nails? =)

This is a project I have been wanting to show you for a while, my handmade nativity scene:
I started it about two years ago, and I am still continuing the set.

It's obviously not perfect, but knowing that I made it all with my hands is a neat feeling!

Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus in his little manger bed:

The three wise men with their gifts:

And the little sheep, my first animal for the set:
I hope you will try out this polymer clay! It is so much fun, and a great craft for kids or adults!
And there are so many options for what you make, and the colors you use! =)

************************

I also just wanted to say a Merry CHRISTmas to you! Sometimes, with all the CHRISTmas shopping I've been doing lately, it's easy to forget the real meaning of CHRISTmas, which is Christ of course. Let us never forget that!

~simple things~

Enjoying the simple things.....something that I LOVE to do! I try to thank the Lord for all those little things that sometimes it's easy to take for granted! Like curling up with a good book, smelling candles, a new box of crayons, coffee, chatting with your mom! =)
All of these things I love to do, and yet sometimes, I forget to really appreciate them. So today, as I spent some time with my mom, I took some time to just reflect and thank the Lord with all of my heart that I have someone that gives me pep talks {...and buys me a peppermint mocha from Starbucks! =) }

If you haven't tried one yet.....you MUST! They are delicious! My usual is a white-chocolate mocha, but I decided to give this one a try, and it is scrumptious! It reminds me so much of Christmas time!
While my mom and I were out we went Bath & Body Works. I absolutely love that store! Everywhere you look there are candles, lotions, perfumes, body washes, and the list of scents is endless. So, we had fun smelling all the different smells & finally decided to get these wallflowers. Also something you should check out! They really work and my room already smells amazing, like Warm Vanilla Sugar {my favorite scent}
And my hallway smells like Twisted Peppermint!
So, today was all about enjoying those simple things! Taking the time to thank God for each and every little blessing! If you do this, you will find you are thanking God A LOT! =)

stockings & a baby tree

FINALLY!!!! December is here! I love everything about the Christmas season - the trees, the decorations, the feeling of coziness & family, the presents, and the real reason we celebrate Christmas, my Lord and Saviour coming to earth!
The Christmas season seems to bring a lot of crafts for me, a few years ago, I made a set of polymer clay nativity scene (which I will have to show you soon). And this year I made these two stockings for our beloved dogs:

We already had the tiny little stockings so all I had to do was cut out the letters and
sew them on!

I got a little bored of the blanket stitch after doing 'Jack' so I decided to spice it up a little and just did a really simple straight stitch for Abi's name.
I guess this is a good time to explain who Abi is! She is our other dog, another Pomeranian! She is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! She doesn't have a mean bone in her body (unless you accidentally step on her tail, then you had better watch out!) She is a little diva and usually....no, ALWAYS gets her way! But we love her to death, and especially because she is soo patient with Jack! =)

I hope that you have had a wonderful day! I know I did! We decorated the whole house last night so I was surrounded by the awesome reminder of Christ coming to earth, and that is the greatest gift we will ever receive!

Here is my mini tree! I love these things...they are so adorable! I just stuck with a color theme instead of just sticking every single ornament I had onto it, but it looks a little sad, so I may have to put a few more on, or add a ribbon or something!! (I'll keep you posted :)
I'm glad it's finally December! Christmas is only 23 days away, and now I can officially listen to Christmas music (even though I already have been since the beginning of November!) Have you decorated yet?

{Little Known Fact #1}

Little Known Fact #1:

I LOVE to color! Yep, thats right, I love getting my giant box of Crayola crayons, and my coloring book and coloring a picture! =)

I don't think you are ever too old to color! It soo much fun, and a great way to express some creative juices! So the other day while I was at Hobby Lobby, and I was struggling to find a new project, I couldn't resist buying a new box of crayons (the smell of new crayons is....unmatched!), and a new coloring book!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this silly little tidbit about me! I have enjoyed coloring pirates when I get a free moment, and also the smell of a brand new box of crayons! =)
Have a great Wednesday!
