{Nest Necklace}

The other day I was just messing around with some wire that I had in my jewelry making box and anyways.....randomly I created this precious little nest with two little robin's eggs in it!

I am, again really happy with how it turned out! I would love to make more jewelry items in the future.....and I actually have a few ideas right now so stay tuned!

{Ta-Da!}

TA-DA! Finally.....the big reveal of my "long-awaited" scarf project! I finally finished it and I am so pumped to make more!

I am in so in love with the color and I used size 15 knitting needles so the gauge is really chunky which I also love! {the stitch is the garter stitch-in case you are interested!}
Now I will definitely be figuring out other more challenging patterns so I can figure out how to make hats, baby sweaters and even baby booties! I so thrilled!
This was actually a really easy project so I could definitely see some gifts in the future! =)

****************************

As I was completing this project I ran into a few little bumps that got me frustrated, but was motivated to stick with it! Which reminds me of my friend Joy. She started crocheting and struggled at first, but she stuck with it and she made the cutest hat!
Check out her blog! I know you will love it! She is so sweet and has some amazing decorating skills!

****************************

I hope you all have an amazing weekend! I know I for one am thanking the Lord that it is Friday and I have made it through another week!
Oh by the way.......Hobby Lobby threw up:

{Don't be fooled by all the knitting, once you pass that layer then there is felt beneath that! :) }

{Little Known Fact #2}

Hello again! I decided I couldn't just end the day with one post that only talked about a giveaway! :) So it is time for another Little Known Fact about "yours truly"! If you haven't read the first Little Known Fact go read it here.

Little Known Fact #2:
I love to drink tea! This isn't too strange of a fact like my last one was! :) But it is something not many people know about me!
So, today was one of those days when I made myself a nice cup of tea, my favorite tea which is Mango Green tea {very yummy & fruity}

A nice, cozy day! :)

{Woo Hoo!}

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!
Just wanted to inform you of a giveaway! Woo hoo! Lindsay at Paint Me a Picture is having an adorable giveaway with cute headbands!
Not only should you enter, but go ahead and check out her blog! It is super cute and she has some amazing artwork!!

{Ribbon Wrapped Bracelets}

Hmmmm.....what's a girl to do when she has nothing else on the docket, isn't feeling quite her usual self, and has a bunch of old tarnished bangles and loads of ribbon??

Make ribbon wrapped bracelets of course! =)
So that is exactly what this gal did:

I used this set of thin metal bangles, but after making them it would be a lot easier to wrap a wooden or plastic, thick bangle {future reference because I will be making more, but I did the best I could with what I had!}.
I tried to go with some sort of theme with the ribbon I chose and I LOVE how they came out! They will definitely be on my wrist on several occasions!

It was a lot of fun to have a little photo shoot of my bangles! But it is amazing how many shots it takes to get the perfect pictures, and how annoying lighting can be!

{And I just now noticed that my outfit matches my blog colors! I didn't know I like red & green that much, but apparently I do!}

{Inspiration}

This year for my devotions I started one of Elizabeth George's books entitled Experiencing God's Peace. It has already been amazing and has taught me so much! She takes you through Philippians which is possibly my favorite book because of example after example of how to live a godly life. It is almost like a recipe or a road map for a good, Christian life!
I also love some of the little quotes and sayings that Elizabeth George incorporates and some of them have really hit home for me. This one especially that today I made into a little plaque that now hangs on my bulletin board reminding me every day to serve the Lord:

Isn't that great? There are so many more quotes that I would love to hang all over the house because they are great reminders. I would definitely recommend this book to you, and Elizabeth George's books in general.

**************************

On another note, I can't wait to show you my project that I have picked up again....knitting! I learned to knit last year sometime and since then have absolutely loved it, but not until recently did I pick it back up again and start a new project! I am still in the baby stage of my knitting expertise and right now all I know how to knit is a scarf, but very soon I am going to make myself sit down and figure out some of the other patterns!
I am so close to finishing my scarf, and when I do, I can't wait to show it to you! I am sure there will be many more like it in every color! :)

{Ultimate Comfort Food}

~BEFORE~

~AFTER~

You probably couldn't tell by the picture, but this is creamed corn, the bestest & most delicious way! And today was just one of those days when I had a craving for comfort food! It is so simple to make and I promise you will love it, everyone who tries it says it is amazing!
1.) So basically if you use a bag of frozen corn then depending on how much you use of the bag, that's how much cream cheese and butter you put in. For instance if you use half the bag, put in half a stick of cream cheese and half a stick of butter. If you use a can then it would probably be about half a stick of cream cheese and butter for a whole can. (But definitely just add as much as you would like.....)
2.) Ok so you stick all of your ingredients into a pan (you can microwave it but I think it has a little more flavor if you cook it on the stove.) and you heat the mixture until it is creamy and the corn is hot all the way through.
3.) Then add salt and pepper to taste!

I hope my directions were clear enough! No, this dish is not really healthy, but it's comforting & delicious! :)

{Bittersweet & Really Sweet}

It's bittersweet when the snow begins to melt!

The sun is finally out, the sky looks blue again

Everything is starting to melt, but still manages to be a beautiful sight!
But it was still cold to day so it was the perfect day to stay inside, get some crafting done, and......make sugar cookies! :)

{Here they are almost ready to come out of the oven....}

{And here they are frosted & ready to EAT!!!}
The frosting I used was a homemade buttercream frosting that was simply divine!

{Oh & yes, I am aware that they are some random & strange shapes :) All I had was Christmas trees, stars, gingerbread men, & hearts!}

Hope your day was as simple & lovely as mine!

{Snow Day}

Being from the south any amount of snow is exciting! But getting over 6 inches, is a miracle! :)

{Snow always makes everything look beautiful & everything seems so peaceful!}

As you can see, Jack loved the snow! It was so much fun to watch him bounding around getting his whole face & legs covered in snow!

*****************************************

On another note, I have recently been making hearts, since Valentine's Day is not too far off! I actually don't know exactly why I am making them, or for what purpose, but they have been fun to create, and I am now fervently searching for a project to use them for....I have a few ideas! :)
Here are some of them:

{Hopefully you can tell this one says amore!}

Have a wonderful day! :)

{Bluebird of Happiness...}

Meet my little bluebird! I just made him today, and now that he came out so cute, I am excited to make more!

I looked up the bluebird and found out that they are often times symbols of happiness, prosperity, good health, and cheerfulness (how appropriate!)! Pretty much anything positive is associated with this little bird. So, what an excellent reminder for me whenever I see this little bird.....to BE HAPPY! :)

{Christmas Ornament}

Here is another project I did at the pottery studio!! It was my first time painting one of their Christmas ornaments and I loved it! They had so many options for the ornaments, so it was hard to choose, but I just love how it came out!

I was inspired by my friend Sara's handmade felt garland! So colorful and so cute! :)
I'm still eagerly waiting for some inspiration from all of you!! :)

{Major Distraction}

This is a major distraction!! I haven't been doing much crafting lately, so I know I need to! But the problem is....I'm kind of blanking on crafting projects right now! I am the type of person that has to constantly come up with new projects or I get bored really easily.
So.....that is where you come in my faithful followers! =) I would like you to comment and tell me what you would like to see. A project you love that you would suggest or something you have seen and wouldlike me to try. Anything! I just want tons of ideas!
Thanks guys! I can't wait to see what you all suggest......
